Maintaining Teak Furniture for the Patio

by guestpost on December 22, 2009

When teak furniture is left outside, it can develop a lot of problems if it’s not maintained properly. Here are a couple of tips to use for maintaining teak furniture.

• Clean the furniture with wood furniture cleaner twice a year.  Use a soft rag and wipe away the dust, stains or dirt.
• Put teak oil on the wood so that the finish of the furniture is brightened; use a cloth for rubbing the oil into the wood. You can also use a paintbrush, going in the direction of the grain.

These are just two tips for maintaining teak wood and keeping it beautiful.
