Patio tables have to brave direct sunlight, heat and dust all round the clock. Therefore, while shopping you must first select material that will last. Out of the many materials wood would be your best choice. Wood also gives a natural look to your patio furniture. Teak requires virtually zero maintenance whereas cedar will require occasional refinishing. Metal tables, plastic tables or tables made out of a combination of glass and wrought iron are also easy to wipe and maintain. Plastic tables are cheaper and come in a variety of colors. The only downside is that they get discolored due to direct sunlight. Iron may require repainting; however it is strong and durable. A glass tabletop fitted on an elegantly bent wrought iron base looks classy. However, glass needs a lot of care. Also, do not forget to buy covers to protect your patio tables when not in use.
